Vitalija Glovackyte is a composer of experimental music based in Manchester. Although from a background in contemporary classical music, her recent works increasingly incorporate elements of noise, lo-fi and experimental electronic music. She co-runs Another Contemporary Music Ensemble, a Manchester-based group specialising in contemporary and experimental works for which she composes, performs and curates. Vitalija’s most recent performance was a 40-minute multimedia work EIGHT FEET.COM in collaboration with choreographer Denisas Kolomyckis and video artist Sarah Hill, and she is currently on an 18-month residency with Apartment House, supported by Sound and Music.
